Follow the Yellow Brick Road with Cumberland County Children's Theatre

Cumberland County Children’s Theatre (CCCT) invites audiences to travel somewhere over the rainbow in their production of The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition, a magical stage adaptation of the beloved classic on Saturday, March 21 at 2pm and 7pm, Sunday, March 22 at 2pm, Saturday, March 28 at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday, March 29 at 2pm. Performances will take place at Freeport Performing Arts Center at Freeport High School, 30 Holbrook Street, Freeport, ME.

Join Dorothy, Toto, and their unforgettable friends as they journey down the Yellow Brick Road in search of courage, heart, wisdom, and home. Based on the timeless story by L. Frank Baum and the iconic MGM film, The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition features all the songs you know and love, including “Over the Rainbow,” “Follow the Yellow Brick Road,” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard.”

Adapted especially for young performers, this enchanting musical adventure showcases the incredible talents of local youth as they bring the Land of Oz to life with vibrant costumes, lively choreography, and unforgettable characters. With its enduring message about friendship, bravery, and believing in yourself, The Wizard of Oz, Youth Edition is a heartwarming experience for the entire family.
